Miriam McSpadden

FOUNDER - PRINCIPAL DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Miriam McSpadden is a seven-time Emmy award winning Producer, Director of Photography and Editor. Miriam made her debut as a feature Director/Cinematographer/Editor on the film Go On, Be Brave which made its world premiere at the 38th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival and was nominated for best documentary. Miriam first stepped behind the lens at 19-years old and immediately connected with the visual power of cinematography and editing. Her work has been featured on NBC, ESPN, The Today Show and PBS. Miriam honed her unique sense of storytelling through her upbringing as an athlete, dancer, and actor. Her background as an athlete has equipped her to pick up a camera and run, sometimes for miles, to capture the truly vérité moments that take place far off the beaten path. As a dancer, her connection to music infuses her editing style as she choreographs a scene to transport the audience into the authenticity of each moment. And her training as an actor informs her ability to approach each person with curiosity and empathy. In her spare time Miriam enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and volunteering for The Kefa Project, a 501c3 that uses soccer to work with homeless youth in Rwanda.
